BLORPS keeps your ideas as blorps on your iPhone, and BLORPS for Mac catches the ones you flick to it. Neither has a server of its own, an account, or analytics. This policy is the full list of what BLORPS stores, what can leave your devices, and how to remove it.

On your iPhone

Everything you make lives on your device, in the app's own storage: your blorps, your completed history and its blorpies, your upcoming re-blorps and reminders, your themes and theme photos, your hidden themes, your tag order, and your settings. Theme photos are the ones you pick in the system photo picker; BLORPS never reads your photo library itself.

These files are encrypted with a key held in your keychain. iCloud Keychain carries that key so a new or restored iPhone can still read them, and it stays there after an erase or after you delete the app, so a backup can still be opened. The key holds none of your data.

Reminders and re-blorp alerts are scheduled on the device through iOS notifications. Nothing about them leaves it.

Apart from that key, nothing leaves your iPhone unless you dictate, turn on iCloud backup, flick a blorp to a Mac you paired, share a blorp, or export your data. Each of those is described below.

iCloud backup (optional, off by default)

Settings > Backup has a switch called "Back up to iCloud". While it is off, nothing leaves your device for iCloud.

While it is on, everything listed above is kept as one backup in the private database of your own iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit. BLORPS seals the whole backup, theme photos included, on your iPhone before it leaves. Only a device holding the backup key from your iCloud Keychain can open it; VISEKAI STUDIOS LLC has no server involved and cannot read it. This encryption is the app's own and does not depend on Advanced Data Protection.

There is exactly one backup, and each new backup replaces the last. If a backup already exists when you turn the switch on, BLORPS shows what the backup and this iPhone each hold and asks which one to keep. Nothing moves until you choose.

Turning the switch off stops further backups. "Delete iCloud backup" on the same page removes the backup from your iCloud account.

Dictation

Dictation uses Apple's speech recognition. Depending on your device and language, audio may be sent to Apple for processing; the system permission prompt describes Apple's handling. BLORPS keeps only the transcribed text, on your device.

Apple Intelligence

BLORPS uses the on-device Apple Intelligence model to turn your notes into blorps, divide and score them, and name new themes. It runs on your device and works offline, so your notes are never sent anywhere to be processed. On an iPhone without Apple Intelligence, BLORPS uses its built-in parser instead.

Flick to Mac (optional)

You can pair BLORPS with BLORPS for Mac on one Mac of yours by scanning the code it shows in that Mac's menu bar. The camera is used only for that scan. Pairing exchanges keys with that Mac. Your iPhone keeps the pairing until you forget the Mac or erase local data.

While Flick to Mac is on and BLORPS is open, your iPhone stays connected to that Mac over your local network. Every connection sends your iPhone's device name, which iOS reports as "iPhone", and your current theme, and your theme is sent again each time you change it, so the Mac shows your blorps as your iPhone does. Flicking a blorp sends its text and its color. All of it is encrypted so only the Mac you paired can read it, and nothing is sent to a Mac you did not pair. You can turn Flick to Mac off, or forget the Mac, in Settings > Flick to Mac at any time.

BLORPS for Mac keeps its pairing, your theme, and the blorps you flicked in its own storage on that Mac, for as long and as many as you choose there. Deleting them there or forgetting your iPhone removes them. VISEKAI STUDIOS LLC has no server involved and cannot read any of it.

Sharing

Sharing a blorp hands its text to the app you pick in the system share window. What that app does with it is governed by its own privacy policy.

Export

"Export data" (Settings > Backup) writes an unencrypted copy of your data as a zip file and hands it to the app you pick. Once it leaves BLORPS, that copy is yours to look after.

Deleting your data

• "Erase local data" (Settings > Backup) removes your blorps, history, themes and theme photos, tag order, settings, and Mac pairing from your iPhone.
• "Delete iCloud backup" (Settings > Backup) removes the backup from your iCloud account.
• Deleting the app removes its storage with it. An iCloud backup you made stays until you delete it in the app or in your iCloud settings.

Retention

Your data stays where you put it until you delete it. VISEKAI STUDIOS LLC retains nothing, because it holds nothing.

No analytics, no tracking, no advertising

BLORPS collects no analytics, contains no third party SDKs, tracks nothing across apps or websites, shows no advertising, and sells no data. There is no account of any kind, because there is no server of ours.

Children

BLORPS is not directed at children and collects nothing that identifies anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated text is published at this address with a new date above.
