BLORPS keeps your ideas as blorps on your iPhone. It has no server of its own, no account, and no analytics. This policy is the full list of what the app stores, what can leave your device, and how to remove it.
On your iPhone
Everything you make lives on your device, in the app's own storage: your blorps, your completed history and its blorpies, your upcoming re-blorps and reminders, your themes and theme photos, your hidden themes, your tag order, and your settings. Theme photos are the ones you pick in the system photo picker; BLORPS never reads your photo library itself.
These files are encrypted with a key held in your keychain. iCloud Keychain carries that key so a new or restored iPhone can still read them.
Reminders are scheduled on the device through iOS notifications. Nothing about them leaves it.
Nothing leaves your iPhone unless you turn on iCloud backup, flick a blorp to a Mac you paired, share a blorp, or export your data. Each of those is described below.
iCloud backup (optional, off by default)
Settings > Backup has a switch called "Back up to iCloud". While it is off, nothing leaves your device for iCloud.
While it is on, everything listed above is kept as one backup in the private database of your own iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit. BLORPS seals the whole backup, theme photos included, on your iPhone before it leaves. Only a device holding the backup key from your iCloud Keychain can open it; VISEKAI STUDIOS LLC has no server involved and cannot read it. This encryption is the app's own and does not depend on Advanced Data Protection.
There is exactly one backup, and each new backup replaces the last. If a backup already exists when you turn the switch on, BLORPS shows what the backup and this iPhone each hold and asks which one to keep. Nothing moves until you choose.
Turning the switch off stops further backups. "Delete iCloud backup" on the same page removes the backup from your iCloud account.
Dictation
Dictation uses Apple's speech recognition. Depending on your device and language, audio may be sent to Apple for processing; the system permission prompt describes Apple's handling. BLORPS keeps only the transcribed text, on your device.
Apple Intelligence
BLORPS uses the on-device Apple Intelligence model to divide and score blorps and to name new themes. It runs on your device and works offline. Nothing it reads or writes leaves your iPhone.
Flick to Mac (optional)
You can pair BLORPS with its catcher app on one Mac of yours by scanning a code that Mac shows. The camera is used only for that scan.
Flicking a blorp sends its text to that Mac over your local network, encrypted so only the Mac you paired can read it. What the Mac does with the text is the action you chose for that blorp's color in Settings: paste it, or run it as a command if you set that up. Every color starts with no action, so a fresh install sends nothing.
Text handed back on the Mac comes home the same way and becomes a blorp. While BLORPS is in the background, a note coming home may also pass through the private database of your own iCloud account so your iPhone can show a notification. VISEKAI STUDIOS LLC has no server involved in any of this and cannot read any of it.
The catcher stores only its pairing and any notes still waiting to reach your iPhone. It reads nothing on your Mac: not your screen, not your clipboard, not what a command prints. Nothing is ever sent to a Mac you did not pair, and forgetting the Mac in Settings stops all of it.
Sharing
Sharing a blorp hands its text to the app you pick in the system share window. What that app does with it is governed by its own privacy policy.
Export
"Export data" (Settings > Backup) writes an unencrypted copy of your data as a zip file and hands it to the app you pick. Once it leaves BLORPS, that copy is yours to look after.
Deleting your data
- "Erase local data" (Settings > Backup) removes everything BLORPS stores on your iPhone.
- "Delete iCloud backup" (Settings > Backup) removes the backup from your iCloud account.
- Deleting the app removes its storage with it. An iCloud backup you made stays until you delete it in the app or in your iCloud settings.
Retention
Your data stays where you put it until you delete it. VISEKAI STUDIOS LLC retains nothing, because it holds nothing.
No analytics, no tracking, no advertising
BLORPS collects no analytics, contains no third party SDKs, tracks nothing across apps or websites, shows no advertising, and sells no data. There is no account of any kind, because there is no server of ours.
Children
BLORPS is not directed at children and collects nothing that identifies anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated text is published at this address with a new date above.
